Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel.

Job Duties:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement individualized education plans for students with SEN
  • Assist students with SEN to engage with learning activities and promote their social and emotional development
  • Work with small groups of students or on a one-to-one basis to provide targeted support
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience:

Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN is essentialKnowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the needs of students with SEN
  • Ability to provide individualized support and adapt teaching methods as needed
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a school setting with students with SEN
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday preferred
  • Potential for additional training and professional development opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
