Job Title: Youth Justice Specialist

As a Youth Justice Specialist, you will be responsible for making a positive impact on the lives of high-risk, complex, and vulnerable children involved in the youth justice system. Your role will be to ensure that these children receive the right support and interventions to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage caseloads with confidence, utilizing strong engagement skills and creative interventions.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to address the needs and risks of adolescents and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to provide a comprehensive service to children and families.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the youth justice system.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualification recognized by one of the YJS statutory partner agencies.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a youth justice setting.
  • Strong assessment and judgement skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency teams.
  • Ability to provide training and development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of colleagues.
