Position Overview

NPL is seeking a dedicated Service Transition Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in facilitating the transition of IT solutions and services into operational environments. The successful candidate will engage in activities that ensure readiness for effective transitions from project teams to operational support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Service Transition: Oversee the process of transitioning new and updated services into operational status.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project and operational support teams to ensure readiness within the CIO department, facilitating the transition and handover of production deployments into the appropriate NPL IT support frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between project and IT teams regarding Service Transition activities, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the process.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Conduct assessments and develop operational readiness plans for the CIO Department concerning new services and the continuous enhancement of existing services.
  • Service Design Collaboration: Partner with the CIO leadership team to define the service design and support model for new and updated services, ensuring they are effectively managed and improved to meet NPL's evolving needs.
  • Third-Party Support Agreements: Ensure all necessary third-party support agreements are established for new and updated services, aligning SLAs and supplier management roles with operational requirements.
  • Framework Alignment: Ensure that the Service Transition Framework aligns with project activities and that related deliverables are met within the agreed timelines, costs, quality, and scope.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives aimed at enhancing operational delivery efficiency and effectiveness, while managing risks and issues related to service transition.
  • Health & Safety Responsibility: Uphold a reasonable duty of care for personal health and safety, as well as that of others affected by workplace actions, adhering to all health and safety directives.
