About the Role
National Physical Laboratory is seeking a skilled Service Transition Analyst to join our Digital Delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the transition of IT solutions and services into service operation, ensuring operational readiness and effective transition from project teams to operations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver the service transition process for new and updated services into operation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
- Collaborate with project and operational support teams to achieve operational readiness, including the development of operational readiness plans and the execution of transition activities.
- Act as the primary interface between project and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the service transition process.
- Conduct change impact assessments and develop operational readiness plans to ensure that new services and continuous improvements to existing services meet the needs of National Physical Laboratory.
- Work with the CIO leadership team to establish service design and support models for new and updated services, ensuring that services are managed, supported, and improved to meet the needs of the organization.
- Ensure that all necessary third-party support agreements are in place for new and updated services, and that service level agreements (SLAs), supplier management roles, and responsibilities are aligned with requirements.
- Ensure that service transition framework alignment is maintained with project activities and related deliverables are delivered to time, cost, quality, and scope.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and effective operational delivery, managing risks and issues for service transition.
- Take reasonable duty of care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work, and follow direct instructions regarding health and safety.

- Experience in a service transition role or involvement in service transition activities.

- Understanding of ITIL v4 principles and management practices - Foundation certified.
- Logically minded, structured in approach, and meticulous.
- Confident in asking difficult questions and challenging others.
- Highly collaborative and skilled in managing stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confident in holding people to account.
- A passion for learning and self-development.
