About the Role:

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism, schizophrenia, and challenging behaviors in their own home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the individual to maximize their independence and engage in community activities such as going into town, visiting the park, and accessing their favorite bakery.
  • Encourage and promote life skills such as cooking, washing, and maintaining their home.
  • Provide emotional support and stability to the individual, helping them to self-regulate and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the individual's needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Ability to attend Safety Intervention training provided by Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and experience new things.
  • Willingness to embrace the individual's goals and aspirations.
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide support on a 4:1 basis.
