Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Caretaker. As a key member of our estate services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our estates.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining communal areas, including parks and open spaces
  • Providing advice and assistance to residents, including those who are elderly or infirm
  • Reporting any repairs or maintenance issues to the relevant authorities
  • Working with other caretaking staff to carry out tasks and projects as directed by supervisors or managers
  • Assisting with the distribution of stores and equipment, including loading and unloading estate services vehicles
  • Completing daily management control information and other documentation as required
  • Keeping records of complaints made by tenants and reporting any incidents or concerns to the relevant authorities

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of cleaning or caretaking duties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to react to and deal with emergency situations
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weathers
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items of equipment
