Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Brook Street Social Care NMR is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to young people who have come from a background of trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to young people, using a therapeutic approach to help them manage their emotions and behaviors.
  • Support young people in their daily lives, including helping with personal care, education, and leisure activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to ensure the young person receives comprehensive support.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment, promoting the young person's physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months experience in social care, preferably working with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
  • Experience of working with individuals who display challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
