Compliance Manager RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that Countrywide Mortgage Services adheres to the highest regulatory standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Responsibilities:- Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and guide the Compliance Team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Provide regular coaching, performance reviews, and training opportunities to enhance team skills and motivation.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Analyze management information to identify potential risks to customers and the business. Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as MCOB, ICOBS, DISP, data protection, and money laundering guidelines.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and committees, providing actionable insights and recommendations to address any identified weaknesses in our compliance framework.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various business areas and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of Countrywide Mortgage Services' compliance strategies.
- Industry Knowledge & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in compliance. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development to enhance your expertise.
- Proven experience in compliance roles within financial services, particularly within intermediary mortgage and insurance firms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of MCOB, ICOBS, DISP, data protection, and money laundering regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective improvement plans.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for clear and concise reporting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
