Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance for specific programs, serving as the primary technical liaison with the Programme Management Office and customers.
  • Ensure that the necessary engineering capabilities are established and sustained to deliver technical solutions within the defined schedule and budget.
  • Develop and maintain documentation outlining the engineering processes, tools, and practices utilized to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and team leaders to secure the required engineering resources for successful project execution.
  • Provide metrics that reflect the progress and completeness of engineering activities.
  • Support engineering team leaders in daily employee management, performance evaluations, work assignments, and recognition or disciplinary actions.
  • Lead or coordinate subcontract management efforts.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a technical delivery environment with a track record of successful team leadership and project performance management.
  • Strong understanding of engineering tools, processes, requirements definition, and testing procedures necessary for the development and acceptance of solutions.
  • Experience in Control Account Management and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly.
  • Proficient in managing tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Able to engage with diverse audiences on intricate subjects.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a security-related industry.
  • Degree in Engineering or other STEM disciplines.
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and propose practical solutions.
  • Proven capacity to deliver cost-effective and technically compliant solutions.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering methodologies.
