About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic Endoscopy Unit at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, supervising a team of nurses, and contributing to the smooth operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Coordinate the unit's activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience in endoscopy-related practice.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, Spyglass, ESD, EUS, EBUS, Capsule Endoscopy, and Bowel Cancer screening.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
