Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coordinator of Recruitment and Admissions to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent to our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet enrollment targets
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote academic programs and services
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of prospective, accepted, and enrolled students
  • Assist with orientation activities for new and continuing students
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings to discuss enrollment trends and strategies
  • Develop and implement student development programs to promote academic achievement and retention
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work or related field
  • Minimum of three years of post-master's practice experience in a social service agency or higher education setting
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the community college, college, or university level
  • Experience with student development and programming, particularly working with first-generation students
