Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating recruitment, admissions, and student development activities for the School of Social Work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit prospective students for the school's academic programs
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual recruitment events
  • Coordinate the admissions process for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in Social Work
  • Develop and implement student development programs to promote academic achievement and student success
  • Collaborate with program directors and faculty to achieve recruitment and admissions goals

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program
  • Minimum of three years of post-master's practice experience in a social service agency or higher education setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology programs and resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience at the community college, college, or university level
  • Experience with student development and programming, particularly working with first-generation students
