Electronics Technician

Role Overview:
- Responsible for assembling electronic components according to technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control manufacturing methods (CMMs).
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of completed assemblies to guarantee quality and precision.
- Perform upgrades and repairs on both mechanical and electrical assemblies as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment utilized in the electronic assembly process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute mechanical assembly tasks following technical drawings and/or CMMs.
- Engage in electro-mechanical assembly work, including fans, motors, and heaters, adhering to provided specifications.
- Utilize basic hand tools and measurement instruments, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
- Assemble and evaluate electronic systems and components to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational functionality.
- Conduct tests and inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues.
- Follow all company manufacturing protocols diligently.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Provide assistance and information to customers, suppliers, and visitors from affiliated companies, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S activities that enhance product quality and output.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform all tasks in a timely manner to meet manufacturing objectives.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties, including training colleagues in accordance with the local skills matrix and assisting in other departments as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Engage in training sessions identified as necessary by the role manager.
- Fulfill other reasonable requests made by the role manager or directors.
- During periods of reduced staffing, demonstrate flexibility by providing support beyond standard job functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
- Capable of working from SOPs in conjunction with technical drawings.
- Competent in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Previous experience in electronic assembly is essential.
- Familiarity with various electronic components is required.
- Strong attention to detail is crucial.
- Knowledge of electronic assembly tools and equipment.
- Soldering skills for small components are necessary.
- Experience in assembling small components, such as model kits or similar items.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Methodical and logical approach to tasks.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Basic IT skills are required.
