Electro-Mechanical Technician

Role Overview:
- Responsible for constructing electro-mechanical assemblies according to technical schematics, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs).
- Conduct inspections and tests on completed products to verify quality and precision.
- Perform upgrades and repairs on electro-mechanical assemblies as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment utilized in electronic assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute electro-mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with technical drawings and/or CMMs.
- Assemble components such as fans, motors, and heaters following specified guidelines.
- Utilize basic hand tools and measurement instruments, including torque drivers, micrometers, and verniers.
- Assemble parts or units per specifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and operational functionality, which includes drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication. Connect cables and wires as per specifications.
- Perform tests and inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
- Adhere to all manufacturing protocols established by the company.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately.
- Provide assistance and information to customers, suppliers, and visitors from affiliated companies who may tour the facility.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives that enhance product quality and output.
- Utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Carry out all tasks promptly to meet company manufacturing objectives.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties, including training colleagues in accordance with the local skills matrix and assisting in other departments as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in training identified as necessary for the role by the manager.
- Fulfill other reasonable requests made by the manager or directors.
- During periods of reduced staffing, be flexible and provide support beyond standard job functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
- Capable of working from SOPs alongside technical drawings.
- Competent in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Previous experience in electro-mechanical assembly is preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of small assembly tools.
- Soldering skills for small components.
- Experience in assembling small components, such as model kits or similar items.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Methodical and logical approach to tasks.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Self-motivated and professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Basic IT proficiency.
