Assembly Technician

Role Overview:
- Responsible for constructing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies according to technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control manufacturing methods (CMMs).
- Engage in the enhancement and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
- Conduct testing on finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with technical drawings and/or CMMs.
- Execute electro-mechanical assembly work, including fans, motors, and heaters, following specified guidelines.
- Utilize basic hand tools and measurement instruments, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
- Solder small components as required.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical testing as outlined in process control documentation, including flash, resistance, and inductance tests.
- Comply with all manufacturing protocols established by the company.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Provide assistance and information to customers, suppliers, and visitors from affiliated companies, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S activities aimed at enhancing product quality and output.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided and required.
- Execute all tasks promptly to meet manufacturing targets.
- Be prepared to undertake additional duties, including training colleagues in accordance with the local skills matrix and assisting in other departments as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Engage in training identified as necessary for the role by the manager.
- Fulfill other reasonable requests made by the manager or directors.
- During periods of reduced staffing, be flexible and provide support beyond standard job functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
- Capable of working from SOPs in conjunction with technical drawings.
- Competent in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Familiarity with tools such as circlip pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, scrapers, and Swiss files.
- Soldering expertise for small components.
- Experience operating machinery, including lathes and drills.
- Brazing skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in a production setting, particularly in the assembly of various electro-mechanical products.
- Experience in assembling small components, such as model kits or similar items.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Methodical and logical approach to tasks.
- Strong time management skills.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
