Electromechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Surrey, UK. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building mechanical and electrical assemblies, testing and troubleshooting products, and working with a range of hand tools and specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Build mechanical and electrical assemblies based on technical drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform mechanical and electrical tests on products, ensuring the highest quality standards
- Work with torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, verniers, and specialized tools like circlip pliers, tweezers, Swiss files, and more
- Solder small components with accuracy, ensuring proper assembly of electromechanical products
- Assemble complex systems, including fans, motors, heaters, and other electromechanical components for aerospace and defence applications
- Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives to optimize product quality and assembly processes
- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs for both mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Soldering expertise in working with a range of electromechanical products
- Hand tool knowledge, including pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, and Swiss files, as well as mechanical tools like lathes and drills
- Machine operations experience, including brazing and operating machines like drills and lathes
- Assembly experience in a production environment, with experience assembling small components like model kits or other precision mechanical products
- Teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and follow detailed assembly procedures
