Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, efficient, and comprehensive pharmaceutical service to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out dispensing of prescriptions, including TTOs and inpatient/OSD supplies, in accordance with safe systems of work practice.
  • Contribute to the final accuracy checking of dispensary work on a rotational basis and use the prescription tracker system to monitor workflow.
  • Co-operate in staff rotation within the pharmacy departments of the trust, ward-based working, and outpatient areas.
  • Assist with medicines management on wards to provide medicines reconciliation and drug histories.
  • Assist with the discharge of patients and provide support to ward pharmacists with TTO preparation using in-house discharge systems.

Requirements
