Salary:
£29,041 per annum

Contract Type:

Founded in 1997, Ad Warrior is a prominent provider of information, guidance, and support for individuals impacted by gambling-related issues.

They operate a national helpline, offer treatment for those affected by gambling, promote awareness about safer gambling practices, and advocate for effective approaches to safer gambling within the industry.

Role Overview

In light of the success of Ad Warrior's Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme, which has reached over 130,000 young individuals and trained more than 28,000 professionals, funding has been secured to continue this vital work.

As the Education and Training Lead, you will engage with key stakeholders in your area, deliver accredited training to professionals, conduct interactive workshops for young people, and facilitate awareness sessions for parents and caregivers. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the continuous improvement and success of the programme.

You will be part of a dedicated and supportive team committed to assisting young people affected by gambling-related harms across the United Kingdom.

A basic understanding of gambling-related issues is beneficial, but a willingness to learn in a non-judgmental manner is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Act as a frontline ambassador for Ad Warrior, upholding the organization's values and promoting its mission.
  • Utilize your public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills to deliver engaging sessions to young people, professionals, and parents/caregivers.
  • Ensure relevant monitoring and evaluation forms are completed.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the youth programme and partner networks.
  • Share best practices and foster a positive team environment, ensuring stakeholders have a memorable experience and receive the best possible programme delivery.
Candidate Profile

If you excel at engaging young people or facilitating training and can cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to generate interest in the programme, you may be the ideal candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and delivering activities for the BigDeal Programme in their assigned region, impacting approximately 1,900 young individuals and 225 adults.

With proven experience in advocating, promoting, and marketing programme services, you will actively seek opportunities in your region, maintain stakeholder relationships through accurate record-keeping, and identify future programme delivery opportunities.

If you are passionate about preventing harm to children and young people, enjoy working collaboratively but can also work independently, this role is a perfect fit for you.

Benefits
  • 33 days of basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues), including bank holidays, which increases with service.
  • A generous pension scheme with a 6% employer contribution and a 2% employee contribution.
  • Discretionary company sick pay from the first day of service.
  • Employee Assistance Programme providing 24-hour support.
Application Process

If you believe you are a suitable candidate and wish to contribute to this reputable organization, please follow the application process as directed on their website.

Ad Warrior is committed to providing the best support to individuals affected by gambling-related issues and welcomes applications from candidates with lived experience.
