Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Community Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing expert medical support and guidance to our multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior medical support and guidance to our teams, ensuring the highest standards of care for children and young people with mental health needs.
- Work directly with young people and their families, providing individualized support and guidance to help them manage their mental health.
- Liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals, ensuring seamless care coordination and collaboration.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to our teams and ensuring the continuity of care.
- Support your peers and team leader, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Work alongside a Paediatrician, leveraging your expertise to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
- Commit to collaborative working, actively engaging with other health and social professionals, and agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Expertise in child and adolescent mental health, with a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health in this population.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
