Our client has an amazing opportunity for a Director of Operations to join their team in the Senior Management Team.


This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week, and the role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Educated to degree level or postgraduate leadership and management qualification.
  • Sound financial skills to be able to read and interpret financial data.
  • Experience in analysis, reporting and proposal development for capital assets and infrastructure investment.
  • Experience in commercial contract management including property, funders of healthcare, NHS standard contracts.
  • Knowledge of the service sector and the systems and processes used for revenue management and collection, debtors management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements within hospital management.


As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Operations works with the Executive Director and Director of Clinical Services to create and deliver the strategic, operational and business development plan for the hospital.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Help identify business development opportunities such as new services and development of existing services.
  • Contribute to the hospital's business plan and support the managers and leads of departments to formulate departmental plans and objectives.
  • Ensure delivery of NHS activity according to RTT 18 week protocols.
