Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to provide support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a friendly and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Support children with emotional and behavioral challenges, using positive behavior management techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a special school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, behavior management, and special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK.
