Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to provide support to children with special educational needs.

About the Role:
  • Work with small groups of children or on a 1:1 basis to provide emotional support and help regulate their emotions.
  • Assist in creating a nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide support with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Help to maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Positive personality and ability to work in a challenging setting with patience and understanding.
  • Knowledge of PECS or Makaton is an advantage.
  • Right to work in the UK and up-to-date DBS registration.
