Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager to join our team in Dagenham. As a key member of our Sales division, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our European Trailer freight service to clients in the South of the UK.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and targeting new business opportunities. You will work closely with our Managing Director to develop and implement sales strategies that drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell and promote our European Trailer freight service to clients in the South of the UK
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to upsell and strengthen existing relationships
  • Identify and target new business opportunities to drive business growth and revenue
  • Work closely with our Managing Director to develop and implement sales strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good level of business development experience within the freight forwarding industry
  • Strong focus on European Road freight
  • A full clean driving license
  • Prior connections within the freight forwarding industry
  • Self-motivation and a hard-working driven ethos
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of an established team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£50,000 per annum, plus a car allowance, 25 days holiday + 8 BH, company pension scheme, laptop and mobile phone, private medical health, and a yearly sales bonus.
