Senior HR Manager & Recruitment Specialist

Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Vacancy Type: Permanent - Full Time

Merco Medical Staffing Limited is a well-established agency dedicated to recruiting clinical professionals for both the NHS and private sectors. Our hospital is strategically positioned for easy access to the West Midlands motorway network and boasts excellent local public transport connections.

The facility offers a wide array of inpatient services, including acute care, psychiatric intensive care for young adults, Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, specialized Eating Disorder treatment (including day care), and private acute and addiction treatment programs.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert support and advice to the Senior Management Team (SMT) and Managers regarding the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures. Additionally, you will oversee the HR and Finance Administrators to ensure the team operates efficiently, delivering HR and Finance processes accurately and punctually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate HR functions, including managing grievances, disciplinary actions, and absence management in accordance with company policies, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Lead and manage a team to ensure timely completion of all HR activities, including payroll processing.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to navigate sensitive situations involving staff and management at all levels.
  • Maintain a high pace of work while ensuring adherence to policies and best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Progress towards CIPD qualifications is desirable but not mandatory.
