Job SummaryThe Specialist Biomedical Scientist will be a fully competent member of the department, working as part of a team to perform a wide range of specialist clinical technical investigations. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute towards the provision of an accurate and timely service for patients.
Main Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of complex technical procedures, including the safe and effective use of highly complex laboratory equipment.
- Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to enter, manage, retrieve, interpret, validate, and authorize complex patient information and results.
- Work independently and as part of a team to provide a clinical technical service and a high-quality laboratory service.
- Communicate complex, clinical technical information to users of the service, in a manner that is in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Have knowledge and understanding of current national legislation and guidelines relevant to the speciality.

Requirements- Registered Biomedical Scientist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Specialist portfolio or equivalent qualification.
- Post-registration experience within the speciality.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Able to work in a team and independently.
- Basic knowledge and computer literacy.
