Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Support Engineer to join our team at our Butter Plant in Market Drayton. As an Automation Support Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our site automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reactive support for site automation issues, working closely with the Automation Development team to resolve problems and improve system performance.
  • Develop and implement minor automation Capex projects, working with the site team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support the development of group automation and electrical standards, providing a site perspective to inform the ongoing development of these standards.
  • Ensure compliance with group electrical and automation standards, working with the site team to ensure all projects and improvement works meet these standards.
  • Manage obsolescence within the site, working with the Automation Development team to ensure site criticality is a key element of the group level obsolescence management.
  • Evaluate performance data to identify areas for improvement, working with the site team to deliver improvements in efficiency and operability.
  • Manage the site panel risk assessment register, performing periodic health checks and implementing remedial actions as necessary.
  • Provide specialist automation support to site improvement initiatives, working with the site team to identify and implement improvements.
Requirements
  • PLC experience and strong electrical skills.
  • Ability to work on projects alone and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a similar Automation Engineer role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be IT literate.
