We are seeking an experienced Automation Support Specialist to join our team at Acu-IT. As an Automation Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide reactive support for site automation issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement minor automation Capex projects, driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation elements of larger projects, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
- Maintain and monitor automation and electrical system software, ensuring version control and compliance with group standards.
- Liaise with the Automation Development team to provide site-specific input on group automation and electrical standards, driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with group electrical and automation standards across site-delivered projects and general improvement works.
- Analyze performance data to inform automation OE activities, driving improvements in efficiency and operability within production.
- Own and maintain the site panel risk assessment register, conducting periodic health checks and implementing remedial actions as needed.
- Provide specialist automation support to site improvement initiatives, leveraging expertise to drive business outcomes.
- Utilize technical skills and systems access to validate and analyze site data, supporting quality improvement activities and driving business growth.
- Encourage engineering-based OE projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support site roadmaps for Quality, HS, EMS, Engineering, and Autonomous Maintenance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support improvement activities and events within engineering-owned areas, driving business outcomes and growth.
- Maintain awareness of current performance impacts on the bottom line, driving data-driven decision-making.
- Deliver on-the-job training to new colleagues, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and electrical systems.
- Strong electrical skills, with ability to work on projects independently.
- Experience in similar Automation Engineer roles, with a focus on manufacturing and process improvement.
- FMCG industry experience preferred, with knowledge of automation systems and electrical standards.
- IT literacy, with ability to work with software and systems.
