Civil Engineering Trainee Opportunities at FM Conway

FM Conway is actively seeking a Civil Engineering Trainee to be part of our Major Projects division, working on various sites.

Role Overview for Civil Engineering Trainee

In this role, you will be immersed in a nurturing educational environment designed to equip you with the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviors required to thrive as a Civil Engineering Trainee and achieve a Level 2 Apprenticeship. Your training will encompass the upkeep and restoration of thoroughfares, pathways, and urban fixtures, alongside gaining insights into relevant traffic management practices. Key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting exploratory excavations during site assessments

- Engaging in excavation activities

- Assisting with utility identification

- Learning to prepare ground levels to support the excavation crew

- Gaining skills in duct installation, trenching, and related tasks

- Participating in drainage system projects

- Acquiring techniques for laying curbs with various materials

Desired Attributes for our Civil Engineering Trainee

Candidates should possess GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, industrious, and have a genuine interest in the construction sector. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow are essential.
