Are you a committed teaching assistant with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with special educational needs? This role offers a chance to be part of a remarkable team within a nurturing educational environment.
The students you will work with are aged between 2 and 11 years, all facing severe, profound, and multiple learning challenges, as well as conditions on the autistic spectrum. The institution has received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in activities tailored to address the emotional, physical, and educational requirements of individual children and groups, particularly those with SEND.
- Assist in the monitoring and implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
- Observe children's responses to learning activities and motivate them to engage in their educational journey
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with individual children and groups to help them meet their learning objectives
Candidate Profile:
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills relevant to the position; NVQ Level 2 or a willingness to pursue it
- Experience or training in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Primary education
- Background in supporting children with special educational needs
- Effective behavior management abilities
- Relevant experience in assisting children with emotional, physical, or learning challenges
