Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting children with special educational needs. This role offers a full-time, permanent opportunity with a competitive starting salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in activities tailored to address the emotional, physical, and educational requirements of individual children and groups, particularly those with SEND.
  • Assist in the implementation and assessment of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Observe and encourage children's participation in learning activities, fostering their interest in education.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children to help them achieve their learning objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills relevant to the role, with an NVQ Level 2 qualification or a willingness to pursue it.
  • Have training and/or experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Primary education.
  • Demonstrate experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Exhibit effective behavior management skills.
  • Bring relevant experience in supporting children with emotional, physical, or learning challenges.
