We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at SENploy, a Special Educational Needs school in Swindon.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Develop and implement engaging and inclusive learning activities tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance and support to students to help them manage their emotions.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff members.
- Monitor and report on student progress, and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with students.
- A good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
