Senior Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Commercial team at STRIDE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT LTD. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a key role in growing accounts with key strategic partners and developing mutually beneficial relationships with a panel of Network brokers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the profitable development of the Mid-Market Commercial Combined and Property Owners account by underwriting bespoke commercial risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a panel of Network brokers as their nominated underwriter.
  • Prospect and actively contribute to the growth targets of the team, optimising sales and retention.
  • Take ownership of large and complex cases, working proactively with the broker to negotiate the right outcome.
  • Maintain and endeavour to exceed agreed service levels to both internal and external customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the commercial underwriting and broking market.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior colleagues.
Your Experience:
  • Experience in underwriting and trading mid-market Commercial Combined and Property Owners broker market.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate and influence through effective trading skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and adaptable, with a can-do attitude.
  • Willing to provide help and support to others and work cooperatively with colleagues.
  • A team player with a strong customer service ethos, continuously looking to improve the quality of service provided to all customers.
  • A confident decision maker with a strong and decisive approach to underwriting.
