Senior Motor Trade Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to join our team at Lawes Consulting Group. As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for developing and underwriting bespoke commercial lines motor trade risks, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth targets of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Profitably develop and underwrite motor trade risks within underwriting criteria, with a focus on site visits to broker offices.
  • Collect and deliver motor trade accounts for the region, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a panel of mid-market brokers, serving as their nominated development relationship underwriter for motor trade products.
  • Support the commercial lines account by engaging and encouraging new and existing relationships with regional brokers.
  • Contribute to the growth targets of the team by prospecting and actively promoting sales and retention.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in motor trade underwriting, with a strong understanding of the commercial insurance market.
  • Portfolio management experience, with a focus on technical underwriting capability.
  • Excellent diary management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
