Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a theatre-like environment, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Assist with the management and coordination of patient care, including pre-procedure preparation, peri-procedure care, and post-procedure recovery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice, contributing to the improvement of patient outcomes and the advancement of our specialty.
  • Collaborate with our Practice Educator to provide training and support to junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC.
  • Experience of working in a theatre-like environment, with a strong understanding of peri-operative care.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to contribute to the advancement of our specialty.
