Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Documentation Coordinator is to ensure that all engineering specifications, reports, procedures, and manuals are accurately compiled, completed to the required standards, and stored in accordance with company protocols. This role also encompasses the general administration of documentation across various functions within the system. The Coordinator will fully support the Supply Chain and Quality departments with specific deliverables. The following tasks are expected:
  • May serve as a support lead without direct supervision of others.
  • Works independently under general oversight on routine tasks and may assist with new or unclear assignments.
  • Acts as a resource for others in resolving complex issues.

Core Functions

The list of job duties is not exhaustive, and the individual may be required to undertake additional tasks within the scope of the position.

Essential Duties
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is controlled, managed, and maintained through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process per company standards.
  • Release documentation within PLM as necessary and inform all stakeholders of updates.
  • Control and maintain any PLM library or SharePoint structure relevant to their responsibilities.
  • Oversee all engineering administrative functions.
  • Assist all other departments with PLM system issues and their training needs.
  • Create and maintain a system for controlling and updating calculation templates, standard form templates, and international standard specifications (BSI, Lloyds, Norsok, etc.).
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Quality department for individual deliverables as required.
  • Offer full support to the Supply Chain department for individual deliverables as needed.
  • Provide administrative coverage for other functions and the business as necessary.
  • Be trained to conduct internal audits as part of the Quality team's annual audit program.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) techniques to eliminate waste in Engineering and other identified areas.
  • Participate in HSE Awareness initiatives, including Core Process Teams, Observation Cards, and HSE Safety Suggestions.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of Product and/or Process Improvement Projects as needed.
  • Mentor and coach team members as appropriate.
  • Effectively utilize all relevant systems to manage the core responsibilities of the role.
  • Provide valuable data to business leaders to drive improvements and align with strategic goals.
  • Consistently demonstrate engagement and a positive attitude while supporting Oceaneering's culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as required by business needs.

Other Responsibilities
Conduct work in accordance with the Company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems. Perform assigned tasks with diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company. Aim to eliminate waste in all forms, suggest environmentally friendly practices, and contribute to ongoing environmental improvement.

Supervisory Role
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

Required

• To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the functions area and knowledge, skills, and abilities are the primary drivers. Training will be provided.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or related industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Relevant administrative qualifications to ensure accurate and efficient execution of the role.
