The Role: Deputy Logistics Coordinator

As a Deputy Logistics Coordinator at Babcock's Rosyth site, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. You will be responsible for a range of administrative and clerical duties, contributing to the efficient movement of materials and equipment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support within the department, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Process diverse documents and information from various sources, meticulously verifying data accuracy.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, facilitating effective communication and information exchange.
  • Maintain meticulous filing systems, ensuring readily accessible information for all team members.
  • Implement a systematic approach to track shipping status for each activity, maintaining full visibility throughout the process.
  • Create, control, and issue shipping instructions to our global supply chain, encompassing locations in the UK, Europe, and Asia.
  • Coordinate shipping arrangements with freight forwarders, utilizing various modes of transportation to ensure timely delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of departmental processes and procedures within a logistics environment.
  • Proven experience in a clerical or logistics role, showcasing your ability to manage administrative tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines independently.

Security Clearance:

This role may require successful completion of security clearance procedures due to its nature.
