Duties & Responsibilities  

The Engineering Document Administrator main task is ensuring that all engineering specifications, reports, procedures and manuals are compiled and completed to the required standard & stored generally in accordance with company procedures. The role also covers the general administration of other functions documentation within the system. Fully support Supply Chain and Quality department with specific deliverables.. Full breakout of tasks as per function area below, but the administrator should meet all required criteria including the following: -

  • May act as support lead but does not supervise others.
  • Works independently under general supervision on routine work and may provide support on new or ambiguous assignments.    
  • May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
     

Functions

The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
 

ESSENTIAL
 

  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant documentation is controlled, managed and maintained through the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process in line with company procedures.
  • Releasing all documentation within PLM when required and advising all stakeholders of release.
  • Controlling and maintaining any PLM library or Sharepoint structure within their remit.
  • Overall control of all engineering administrative duties.
  • Support all other functions in relation to PLM system issues and their training requirements.
  • Creation and supporting a system of controlling and updating calculation templates, standard form templates and international standard specifications (BSI, Lloyds, Norsok, etc.)
  • Full support for Quality department, as and when requested, for completion of individual deliverables.
  • Full support for Supply Chain department, as and when requested, for completion of individual deliverables.
  • Administration cover for other functions and the business as and when required.
  • Be trained to carry out internal audits and carry out these audit as part of the Quality teams yearly audit programme.
  • Use CI techniques to eliminate waste in Engineering and other identified functional areas.
  • Participate in HSE Awareness â Core Process Teams, Observation Cards, HSE Safety Suggestions.

OTHER FUNCTIONAL DUTIES
 

  • Support the execution of Product and/or Process Improvement Projects, as necessary.
  • Support/Mentor/Coach team members as necessary and appropriate.
  • Effectively use all systems related platforms to manage the fundamentals of the role. 
  • Provide meaningful data to the business leaders to drive improvement and align with the strategic direction.
  • Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive `can-do` attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement. 
  • Carry out any other duties/tasks/requests in accordance with our business needs.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Qualifications  

REQUIRED
⢠To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in functions area and knowledge, skills and abilities are the main drivers. Training will be given.

DESIRED

  • Experience working in the Oil & Gas or related industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Administration qualification which is aligned for the role to be executed accurately and efficiently.
