Support Worker for Young Adult with ASD

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will work closely with a 17-year-old young man who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and requires support with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany the individual to activities, such as going for drives, visiting the beach, and swimming
  • Assist with introducing new hobbies and interests
  • Provide close supervision to ensure the individual's safety and well-being
  • Support the individual in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with ASD or complex needs
  • Ability to provide close supervision and support
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Permission to work in the UK

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position, with the successful candidate working a minimum of 10 hours per week during term time and 12 hours per week during holiday periods.
