Technical Product Support Manager - Aggregates & Asphalt

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Product Support Manager to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of profitable products with a confirmed market and predicted profitability return.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the commercial aspects of Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, Surfacing, and Pave technology. You will be responsible for working closely with Marketing, Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Customers, and Technical Teams to support the rollout of products and provide technical guidance/expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to differentiate Tarmac from our competition by providing a unique level of service/support in terms of specification writing, product selection, and sustainability advice.
  • Regular liaison and support to selected Local Authorities, targeted Key Contractors, and National Contracting.
  • Attend Commercial meetings, identify opportunities, and contribute to action plans to improve sales.
  • Participate in the practical development of new products and ensure successful launch and monitoring of sales progress.
  • Support commercial in the review, support, and assessment of Accredited Contractors.
  • Assist with securing supplies to longer-term Local Authority Framework Contracts.
Requirements
  • Experience from a commercial aspect as a Technical Product Support Manager within a Quarrying, Construction, Highways, or Surfacing industry with knowledge of Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, Pave, and Surfacing.
  • Desirable – Technological Management experience in a multi-million-pound operational environment.
  • Challenge people and hold yourself and them accountable for quality.
  • Computer literate - familiarity with software such as Word and Excel.
