Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and overseeing inter-company invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts in accordance with US GAAP principles, including journals, reconciliations, and overhead analysis.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
- Maintain the standard cost of Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
- Understand and report all production variances in a timely manner, implementing changes and improvements to resolve costing or process issues.
- Monitor costs against budgets and investigate variances.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasting.
- Produce quarterly VAT Returns.
- Support the site Financial Controller.
- Provide line management and guidance to the Finance Administrator.
Requirements:
- CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
- Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths, or equivalent experience.
- Experience and understanding of manufacturing environments.
- Good knowledge of Cost & Project Accounting.
- Experience of working within a deadline-structured delivery environment.
- Accurate with good attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously and part of integrated teams.
- Excellent IT skills, especially within MS Excel spreadsheet development and manipulation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work within a fast-paced, ever-changing business.
- Experience of being involved in new systems implementations would be of interest.
