About the Project
We are seeking a highly motivated Analytical Biochemistry Researcher to join an exciting NHS Tayside-funded project entitled 'VAPE (VAscular Effects of Passive Exposure)'. This collaborative project, led by Prof Jacob George (University of Dundee), Prof Alberto Fiore and Dr Sarah Cottin (Abertay University), and Prof Ed Stephens (University of Saint Andrews), aims to investigate the impact of passive exposure to smoking, vaping, and healthy controls on biomarkers in urine and saliva samples.
Your Role as an Analytical Biochemistry Researcher
- Contribute to the design of experimental materials and protocols for the project.
- Analyze biological fluids using state-of-the-art chromatography techniques, including HRMS and LCMSMS.
- Organize and execute data collection procedures.
- Analyze research data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate closely with the research team to ensure project success within established timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Analytical Biochemistry or a related field, along with proven experience in chromatography techniques and data analysis. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this collaborative research environment.
