About the Role

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is seeking a proactive Researcher to lead on research activity for the organization.

The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time, working with modern technologies in an agile environment supporting our existing data and intelligence functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Defining research objectives and conducting both primary and secondary research
  • Analyzing data to identify key trends and patterns
  • Presenting findings clearly to support data-driven decisions
  • Working closely with stakeholders, including SSSC staff, Scottish Government teams, workforce employers, other regulators, and educational institutions

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or at least three years of experience in an analytical and research role
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Extensive experience using various analytical methods to extract insights from large datasets, intelligence, and policy reviews
  • Skilled in both secondary and primary research and capable of clearly communicating complex analyses
