About the Role
The School of Applied Sciences at Abertay University is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the Division of Engineering and Food Science. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be part of an interdisciplinary research project focused on the vascular effects of passive exposure to smoking and vaping.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop experimental materials and protocols for the analysis of biological fluids using state-of-the-art chromatography techniques (HRMS, LCMSMS)
- Organize and conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure the successful completion of the project within the given timeframe
- Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and reports
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field (Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related area)
- Proven experience in chromatography techniques (HRMS, LCMSMS) and data analysis
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
