Abertay University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the School of Applied Sciences. The successful candidate will be part of an NHS Tayside-funded project entitled 'VAPE (Vascular Effects of Passive Exposure), led by Prof Jacob George University of Dundee, Prof Alberto Fiore and Dr Sarah Cottin (Abertay University), and Prof Ed Stephens (University of Saint Andrews).
The project aims to discover specific biomarkers that could help us assess the harmful effects of passive exposure to vaping in larger pivotal studies. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be required to help with the design of experimental materials, analyses of biological fluids using state-of-the-art chromatography techniques (HRMS, LCMSMS), organize and run data collection, analyse data and communicate findings.
The successful candidate will work closely with the research team to ensure the research is completed effectively and within the time constraints. A full candidate brief can be found below which details the job description, person specification and application details.
