Position: Manufacturing Team Leader

Salary: £30,000

Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent

Shift Patterns: Permanent PM shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 14:45 to 23:00, and Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00, or Permanent AM shifts from 05:30 to 14:45.

Everest People Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Team Leader to become part of a vibrant production workforce. This position entails supervising production staff and ensuring that the manufacturing process aligns with both client expectations and safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a team of 20-25 personnel, guaranteeing that high-quality goods are produced in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Team Leader:

  • Oversee a team of production workers, ensuring a secure working environment and adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Track essential performance metrics such as line efficiency, product quality, and yield. Propose and implement strategies to enhance performance and minimize expenses.
  • Ensure all team members receive comprehensive training tailored to their specific roles and requirements. Inspire and engage the team through consistent coaching and performance assessments.
  • Manage the configuration and functioning of production lines, ensuring that products fulfill client specifications and production goals.
  • Guarantee compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all pertinent safety regulations. Promptly report and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Evaluate and enhance line performance, introduce new initiatives, and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Production Managers, and fellow Supervisors, to ensure seamless operations and compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Team Leader:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Background in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to health and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in IT, including familiarity with production management systems.
  • Understanding of HACCP and GMP principles.
  • Health and Safety certification.
