About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Press Shop team at The Job People. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of press setters and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Ensure that your team is aware of daily targets and responsibilities, and that they are working efficiently to meet production goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements, and that all operators have the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their role.
  • 5S Practices: Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Ensure that all training records are up-to-date and that the training matrix is correct.
  • Problem-Solving: Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems in your area, and identify business improvement opportunities.
Requirements
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience as a team leader or in a similar role.
  • Press Setting Understanding: Strong understanding of press setting and operation.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • 5S Understanding: Understanding of 5S practices and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working to Production Plans: Ability to work to production plans and schedules.
  • Monitor, Utilisation and Efficiency: Ability to monitor and improve utilization and efficiency in the press shop.
