About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to lead our innovation efforts in the Sweet Treats portfolio. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products and solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Innovation Projects: Develop and execute innovation projects that deliver new products and solutions that meet our business objectives.
  • Manage Nutrition Profile: Collaborate with our Company Nutritionist to ensure that our Sweet Treats portfolio meets the highest nutritional standards.
  • Provide Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to our R&D team on ingredient functionality, recipe balance, process, and application.
  • Unlock Ingredient/Formulation/Process Solutions: Identify and implement new ingredients, formulations, and processes that drive business growth and improve product quality.
  • Lead Team to Deliver Objectives: Lead and motivate our R&D team to deliver their objectives and contribute to the success of our business.
Requirements
  • Strong Line Management Skills: Proven track record of delivering R&D agenda through high-performance teams.
  • R&D Experience: 3+ years of experience in R&D, nutrition, or applications, with a focus on ambient cake, patisserie, confectionery, or sweet baked goods.
  • People Management Experience: Proven experience in people management, with a focus on developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Education: BSc/MSc in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, recipe formulation, and manufacturing scale processing.
  • Food & Labelling Legislation: Strong understanding of food and labelling legislation.
