Salary: £100 - £140k + bonus
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Financial Controller to join our team at Equity Finance Partners. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for leading and managing the finance team, providing technical guidance and support, and ensuring the security of assets and maximisation of profit performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, providing technical guidance and support to the team
- Ensure strong financial controls and processes are in place to protect assets and maximise profit performance
- Produce annual Consolidated Financial Statements, liaising closely with auditors
- Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Financial KPIs
- Improve reporting timelines to meet the requirements of Private Equity investors
- Lead the annual external audit process for the Group, as well as tax compliance and R&D
- Responsibility for M&A transaction accounting and supporting integrations
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Support the exit process, including data room and due diligence
Requirements:
- Graduate level education with demonstrable academic success
- Professionally qualified Accountant, ideally with training in practice before gaining industry experience
- Ability to build a first-class finance function, developing the team and improving the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounting (IFRS) and compliance, with experience of M&A and taxation (UK and Europe)
- Experience of monthly group consolidations, including overseas trading entities with fx exposure
