About the Role:

Premier Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Research and Development to lead the delivery of our R&D nutrition strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the future direction of our business in response to changing consumer needs and external influences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new products and ingredients that meet our business objectives and consumer demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the nutritional profile of our products.
  • Manage and mentor a team of researchers and scientists to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform our R&D strategy.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering R&D projects and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of food science and nutrition, with a degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the food industry, preferably in a senior research or development role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
