Position Overview

Location: Flexible within Southern England

Compensation: Approximately £35,000, including Company Vehicle & Fuel Card along with Benefits

Liberty Group Investments Ltd is seeking a dedicated Gas Technical Assurance Auditor to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting audits of heating engineers in the field, with a focus on ensuring compliance and safety standards. The position allows for flexible working arrangements, enabling you to operate from home or a location that meets your needs while remaining accessible for necessary training and meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members at all levels to foster a culture of engagement.
  • Conduct technical and health & safety audits of field operatives throughout Southern England, utilizing established auditing systems and processes.
  • Provide coaching and support to action owners to enhance performance and compliance.
  • Assist the Lead Technical Auditor in implementing health and safety initiatives, developing relevant processes and documentation.
  • Identify and report on compliance issues effectively.
  • Offer guidance and support to operational managers regarding HSEQ documentation and processes.
  • Deliver accurate and concise status reports.
  • Perform skills assessments and specific audits for newly recruited engineers.
  • Stay informed about changes in trade and health & safety legislation.
  • Support operational managers in training and assessing operatives for safety compliance.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Essential experience in the gas industry, with prior auditing experience considered advantageous.
  • ACS qualifications are mandatory, with additional qualifications in commercial gas, oil, and solid fuel being beneficial.
  • Current certifications including Gas CCN1, Cenwat, Htrs, Ckrs are required, with a willingness to pursue further qualifications in oil and commercial gas.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the gas sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a valid UK driving license.
